Shinzo Abe insists Olympics Games will go on as planned

Tokyo Olympics Games 2020 games will go on as planned in July as Japan prime minister Shinzo Abe said.

Shinzo Abe said “We will overcome the spread of the Nobel Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease and host the Olympics without problem, as planned in July.” but added the International Olympic Committee (IOC) would have the final decision whether Tokyo 2020 takes place.

Japan had about 1,400 cases and 28 deaths due to COVID-19.

The Tokyo 2020 and IOC have reconfirmed that they will continue to stay in close collaboration with all relevant organizations as they prepare to deliver a safe and secure Tokyo Olympics Games 2020 opening on 24 July 2020 as planned.

Tokyo Olympics Games 2020 will start from July 24 to August 9.
