Neymar and Marquinhos put Manchester United’s progression into the last 16 of the Champions League on hold as Paris Saint-Germain secured a 3-1 win at Old Trafford.
In 32nd minute, Marcus Rashford scored in his third successive Champions League appearance against PSG to restore parity following Neymar’s opener in just 6th minute, which was the quickest goal United have conceded in the competition since September 2015.
But PSG captain Marquinhos restored his side’s lead in the second half after poking home following a corner for the visitors in 69th minute.
Fred got red card in 70th minute when things started to turn rather ugly when VAR replays showed that Fred had headbutted PSG midfielder Leandro Paredes.
Mbappe squandered a golden chance to make it 3-1 himself but atoned when he played through Rafinha, who kept his cool to tee up Neymar.
In other match, Lazio and Dortmund settled 1-1 draw.
