La Liga: Real Madrid beats Levante by 2-0, Barcelona & Sevilla settled draw

Karim Benzema made sure of the points in injury time but Zinedine Zidane had Vinicius and his keeper to thank for the points.

It was the Brazilian’s brilliant curling shot that put Madrid ahead in the 16th minute of first half. But it was the Belgium keeper who saved with his foot to prevent Levante levelling. He also saved from close range late on to ensure the 1-0 win.

Benzema raced clear to score the second with the last touch of the game. Levante did not deserve to lose by more than the solitary goal but Benzema’s first goal of the season doubled the lead.

With the victory, Madrid go into the International break top of the table.

In another match of LaLiga, Barcelona and Sevilla played a draw with goal each.

Luuk de Jong scored in 8th minute and leveled the score by Coutinho after two minutes.
