Sporting named the Academy in honor of Cristiano Ronaldo

Portugal’s club Sporting CP have named their football academy ‘Academia Cristiano Ronaldo’.

Sporting CP has named the academy ‘Academia Cristiano Ronaldo’ in honor of former forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Club said on Monday that the academy was named after Ronaldo as the best player in club history. Ronaldo, who is also the captain of Portugal, started his professional career from Sporting CP.

Ronaldo, who plays for Italian club Juventus, made his senior team debut in Sporting CP in 2002. Before that, he had played for Sporting CP’s B team.

He scored five goals in 31 games for Sporting CP. However, Ronaldo came to English club Manchester United the next year after making his debut in Sporting CP’s senior team.

After joining to Manchester United, Ronaldo was known as the best forward in the world. Ronaldo joined Spanish club Real Madrid in 2009 after six years at the Premier League club. Ronaldo came to Juventus in 2018 after spending 9 years at Real Madrid.

Ronaldo has won all the titles in club football. Ronaldo is also a player who has won league titles in three different countries. Ronaldo recently scored 100 goals for Portugal.
