Manchester United and Wolves remain level pegging in the race for Champions League football after Premier League wins on Wednesday.
Anthony Martial scored Manchester United’s first Premier League hat-trick since 2013 to boost their Champions League hopes further with a 3-0 win over Sheffield United.
Martial netted twice in the first half in 7th minutes and 44th minutes. After first half, he scored and made a beautiful hat-trick in the 74th minute.
Manchester United is in 5th place but put no breathing room between themselves and sixth-placed Wolves, who dealt Bournemouth’s hopes of survival a further blow as Raul Jimenez sealed a 1-0 win at Molineux.
Bournemouth are third-bottom but are only above second-bottom Aston Villa on goal difference. Ahmed El Mohamady earned Villa a 1-1 draw at Newcastle United, his header cancelling out Dwight Gayle’s second-half strike.
Villa, Bournemouth and fourth-bottom West Ham are all on 27 points as the fight for survival looks set to go to the wire.
