Sunrisers Hyderabad have entered the second qualifier of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 cricket in the UAE.
Sunrisers Hyderabad made it to the qualifier by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets in the eliminator in Abu Dhabi on Friday night.
Hyderabad completed the target of 132 runs set by Bangalore by losing 4 wickets in 19 overs.
In the victory of Hyderabad, Kane Williamson remained unbeaten and played a half century innings of 50 runs. Jason Holder scored an unbeaten 24 runs.
Similarly, Manish Pandey added 24 runs while captain David Warner scored 17 runs.
Mohammed Siraj of Bangalore took 2 wickets. Adam Zampa and Yuzvendra Chahal took 1/1 wickets.
Earlier, losing the toss and batting first, Bangalore lost 7 wickets in 20 overs and scored 131 runs.
AB de Villiers played a half century innings of 56 runs for Bangalore.
Aaron Finch added 32 runs while Shivam Dubey added eight runs. Captain Virat Kohli was out for 6 runs.
Mohammed Siraj remained unbeaten on 10 while Navdeep Shaini remained unbeaten on 9.
Jason Holder of Hyderabad took 3 wickets. T Natarajan took 2 wickets and Shahbaz Nadim took 1 wicket.
Hyderabad will now play Delhi Capitals in the second qualifier on Sunday. Delhi had lost to Mumbai Indians in the first qualifier.
However, the rules of the IPL provide that the team that loses in the first qualifier will get a chance to play in the second qualifier.
Mumbai has entered the final. The winner of the second qualifier will play Mumbai in the final.
Bangalore is out of the competition.
