England beats Australia by 24 runs

England have won their second ODI against Australia.

With the England’s victory, both have 1-1 win. England defeated Australia by 24 runs in a match in Manchester on Sunday.

Chasing the target of 232 runs, Australia were able to make only 207 runs with eight balls remaining. Captain Aaron Finch (73), Maranus Labschagne (48) and Alex Kerry (36) were the other notable performers.

England’s Sam Curran, Jofra Archer and Chris Woakes took 3-3 wickets each. Adil Rashid took 1 wicket.

Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, England scored 231 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs.

Australia’s Adam Zampa took 3 wickets. Mitchell Starc took 2 wickets.

Australia won the first match of the series by 19 runs. The third and final match between the two teams in the three-match series will be played on Wednesday.
